Verse (9:2), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (9:2) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn lām mīm (ع ل م). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
