Verse (8:7), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (8:7) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A circumstantial particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "while" and is used to indicate the circumstance of events. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is wāw dāl dāl (و د د). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
