Verse (8:24), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (8:24) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn lām mīm (ع ل م). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.
