Verse (7:73), Word 24 - Quranic Grammar

The 24th word of verse (7:73) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is wāw dhāl rā (و ذ ر). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person feminine singular.

Sahih International: And to the Thamud [We sent] their brother salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. This is the she-camel of Allah [sent] to you as a sign. So leave her to eat within Allah 's land and do not touch her with harm, lest there seize you a painful punishment.
