Verse (7:57), Word 20 - Quranic Grammar

The twentieth word of verse (7:57) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is khā rā jīm (خ ر ج). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded.
