The word is a derived noun. Its nomenclature is الصفة المشبهة. It indicates on the Root meaning being an attribute, and is usually perpetual or intrinsic. It is used inplace of both active and passive participle. This word is derived from ححََثٌ on pattern فَعِِيلٌ denoting active participle "حََاثٌ" or in the meaning of passive participle مَحْنُوثٌ. Knowing the perception and delicacy of selection of this strcture in the sentence here one might notice the "translation loss".The word is a derived noun. Its nomenclature is الصفة المشبهة. Thanks for the additional detailed background information it's very informative. Yes it's a derived noun as you say and here it occupies the position of circumstantial accusative, in which it defines how the action is carried out. I am not sure if it is a الصفة المشبهة in any sense because I am reading it as circumstantial accusative... may be you can explain.

Salam FS,

[and here it occupies the position of circumstantial accusative, in which it defines how the action is carried out.]

You seem mixing up things. [Hal] Circumstantial is a word signifying the clarification of the subject's or object's condition at the time of an action or the condition of both of them. How the action is carried out is signified by Cognate Adverb المفعول المطلق, here too verbal noun will be in accusative if it is not part of construct phrase.
