Verse (7:46), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (7:46) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, location adverb and possessive pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The location adverb is in the accusative case (منصوب). The location adverb's triliteral root is bā yā nūn (ب ي ن). The attached possessive pronoun is third person dual.

Sahih International: And between them will be a partition, and on [its] elevations are men who recognize all by their mark. And they call out to the companions of Paradise, "Peace be upon you." They have not [yet] entered it, but they long intensely.
