Could we amend the translation here and have it like it is in the Saheeh international version: ' seek/sought to make it [seem]' or as Muhsin Khan translates: ' would seek to make it'? I am not reading it as ' seek in it' that's why the next word is accusative (seem crocked) otherwise it would have been nominative (seek in it a crockedness). Any thoughts on this?
