Verse (72:2), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (72:2) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of cause, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The particle is used to indicate cause and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is hamza mīm nūn (أ م ن). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.
