Verse (72:15), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (72:15) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A preposition and proper noun. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The proper noun is in the genitive case (مجرور). The case marker is a fatḥah instead of a kasrah because the proper noun is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف). Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).
