Verse (6:6), Word 25 - Quranic Grammar

The 25th word of verse (6:6) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is hā lām kāf (ه ل ك). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Verse (6:6)

Sahih International: Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.
