Verse (6:153), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (6:153) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A particle of cause and verb. The prefixed particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The particle is used to indicate cause and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form V imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person feminine singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is fā rā qāf (ف ر ق).

Sahih International: And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous.
