Verse (6:146), Word 27 - Quranic Grammar

The 27th word of verse (6:146) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, accusative particle and object pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The accusative particle belongs to a special group of words known as inna and her sisters (ان واخواتها). The attached object pronoun is first person plural.

Verse (6:146)

The analysis above refers to the 146th verse of chapter 6 (sūrat l-anʿām):

Sahih International: And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.
