Verse (66:9), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (66:9) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, noun and possessive pronoun. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The noun is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is hamza wāw yā (أ و ي). The attached possessive pronoun is third person masculine plural.
