Verse (64:5), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (64:5) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of cause, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The particle is used to indicate cause and makes the following verb subjunctive. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is dhāl wāw qāf (ذ و ق). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
