Verse (5:7), Word 12 - Quranic Grammar

The twelfth word of verse (5:7) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is ṭā wāw ʿayn (ط و ع). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, "We hear and we obey"; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
