Verse (5:11), Word 18 - Quranic Grammar

The eighteenth word of verse (5:11) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form VIII imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is wāw qāf yā (و ق ي). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely.
