Verse (5:107), Word 15 - Quranic Grammar

The fifteenth word of verse (5:107) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine dual and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is qāf sīn mīm (ق س م). Verse (5:107)

Sahih International: But if it is found that those two were guilty of perjury, let two others stand in their place [who are] foremost [in claim] from those who have a lawful right. And let them swear by Allah , "Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we would then be of the wrongdoers."
