Verse (59:5), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (59:5) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is tā rā kāf (ت ر ك). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person feminine singular.

Sahih International: Whatever you have cut down of [their] palm trees or left standing on their trunks - it was by permission of Allah and so He would disgrace the defiantly disobedient.
