Verse (58:13), Word 14 - Quranic Grammar

The fourteenth word of verse (58:13) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The form IV imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. Sahih International: Have you feared to present before your consultation charities? Then when you do not and Allah has forgiven you, then [at least] establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
