Verse (4:54), Word 16 - Quranic Grammar

The sixteenth word of verse (4:54) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is hamza tā yā (أ ت ي). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.
