Verse (4:40), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (4:40) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person feminine singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (تك) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
