Verse (4:26), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar

The third word of verse (4:26) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A particle of purpose and verb. The prefixed particle lām is used to indicate the purpose of an action and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form II imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is bā yā nūn (ب ي ن).

Sahih International: Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
