Verse (4:20), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (4:20) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is hamza tā yā (أ ت ي). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun.
