Verse (4:20), Word 10 - Quranic Grammar

The tenth word of verse (4:20) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A result particle and prohibition particle. The result particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate the result of a condition. The prohibition particle (حرف نهي) is used to form a negative imperative and places the following verb into the jussive mood (مجزوم).
