Verse (48:9), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (48:9) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form II imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn zāy rā (ع ز ر).
