Verse (48:27), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (48:27) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An emphatic prefix, verb and emphatic suffix. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is dāl khā lām (د خ ل). The suffixed emphatic particle is known as the nūn of emphasis (نون التوكيد).

Sahih International: Certainly has Allah showed to His Messenger the vision in truth. You will surely enter al-Masjid al-haram, if Allah wills, in safety, with your heads shaved and [hair] shortened, not fearing [anyone]. He knew what you did not know and has arranged before that a conquest near [at hand].
