Verse (43:13), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (43:13) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is qāf wāw lām (ق و ل). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it.
