Verse (41:12), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (41:12) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form II perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is zāy yā nūn (ز ي ن). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Verse (41:12)

The analysis above refers to the twelfth verse of chapter 41 (sūrat fuṣṣilat):

Sahih International: And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
