Dear Dr Dukes,

I find Quranic Arabic Corpus a useful took to understand the scripture - Many thanks for the website!

If I could request you to review the ‘translation’ and the ‘Case Ending’ of verse 40:3:7 & 40:3:8, please

The meaning of ذِى , in my opinion, should be ‘Owner of’/Possessor of’ and its case ending is Genitive but on the website it as assigned an translation same as the translation of the next Kalima which is ٱلطَّوْلِ.

Whereas the meaning should be ‘Owner of/Possessor of’ for the kalima ذِى as the Kasra indicates [it being in genitive case] and the meaning of ٱلطَّوْلِ should be (of) abundance.

With Kind Regards,

Mr R Hamid

N – genitive masculine singular noun, the sign of the genitive being the letter "ya".
