Verse (38:41), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar


The third word of verse (38:41) is a proper noun in the genitive case (مجرور). The case marker is a fatḥah instead of a kasrah because the proper noun is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف).

PN – genitive proper noun → Ayyub اسم علم مجرور بالفتحة بدلاً من الكسرة لأنه ممنوع من الصرف
