Verse (33:9), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (33:9) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is rā sīn lām (ر س ل). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to [attack] you and We sent upon them a wind and armies [of angels] you did not see. And ever is Allah , of what you do, Seeing.
