Verse (33:7), Word 14 - Quranic Grammar

The fourteenth word of verse (33:7) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is hamza khā dhāl (أ خ ذ). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: And [mention, O Muhammad], when We took from the prophets their covenant and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, the son of Mary; and We took from them a solemn covenant.
