Verse (32:21), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (32:21) is divided into 5 morphological segments. A conjunction, emphatic prefix, verb, emphatic suffix and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is first person plural and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is dhāl wāw qāf (ذ و ق). The suffixed emphatic particle is known as the nūn of emphasis (نون التوكيد). The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

And surely, We will let them taste

Sahih International: And we will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent.
