Verse (31:16), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (31:16) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person feminine singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (تك) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).

Sahih International: [And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.
