Verse (2:254), Word 19 - Quranic Grammar

The nineteenth word of verse (2:254) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and active participle. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The active participle is masculine plural and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The active participle's triliteral root is kāf fā rā (ك ف ر).
