Verse (2:104), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar


The sixth word of verse (2:104) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A verb and object pronoun. The form III imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is rā ʿayn yā (ر ع ي). The attached object pronoun is first person plural.

فعل أمر و«نا» ضمير متصل في محل نصب مفعول به

Verse (2:104)

The analysis above refers to the 104th verse of chapter 2 (sūrat l-baqarah):

Sahih International: O you who have believed, say not [to Allah 's Messenger], "Ra'ina" but say, "Unthurna" and listen. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.

This word apparently means "listen to us". But the expression can also be understood to mean "pay heed to us" "give us due respect" which is unseemly arrogance if addressed to the person of the Prophet, peace be upon him. On the other had, unzurna, means the same thing -- seeking attention -- but in a humble and respectful way. Wallahu a'alam.

raina means look at us coming from the root ra hamza which means he saw.

also a sheperd is called raaee so raaeena would mean our sheperd that iswhat the hypocrites/pagans used in the sense with a little twist of the tongue

so allah ordered them to say unzurna that is look at us.with no possibility of insulting the prophet.

1- Arabic text Class why not return number Or any symbol

2 - why can't read from An external xml file
