Verse (29:8), Word 10 - Quranic Grammar

The tenth word of verse (29:8) is a perfect verb (فعل ماض). The verb is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is lām yā sīn (ل ي س). The verb (ليس) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
