Verse (28:57), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (28:57) is a passive form V imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is first person plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is khā ṭā fā (خ ط ف).

Verse (28:57)

The analysis above refers to the 57th verse of chapter 28 (sūrat l-qaṣaṣ):

Sahih International: And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.
