Verse (28:57), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (28:57) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". Verse (28:57)

The analysis above refers to the 57th verse of chapter 28 (sūrat l-qaṣaṣ):

Sahih International: And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.
