Verse (27:42), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (27:42) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The passive form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is hamza tā yā (أ ت ي). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

Sahih International: So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah].
