Verse (24:7), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar


The first word of verse (24:7) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and noun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The noun is feminine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The noun's triliteral root is khā mīm sīn (خ م س).
