Verse (24:15), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

Sahih International: When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah , tremendous.

Note that one "ta" has been omitted from this imperfect verb for ease of articulation. Interestingly, all seven English translators have translated this verb and the subsequent imperfect verbs in this verse into the English past tense.
