Verse (22:60), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (22:60) is divided into 4 morphological segments. An emphatic prefix, verb, emphatic suffix and object pronoun. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine singular and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is nūn ṣād rā (ن ص ر). The suffixed emphatic particle is known as the nūn of emphasis (نون التوكيد). The attached object pronoun is third person masculine singular.

Sahih International: That [is so]. And whoever responds [to injustice] with the equivalent of that with which he was harmed and then is tyrannized - Allah will surely aid him. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving.
