Verse (20:15), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (20:15) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is first person singular and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw dāl (ك و د). The verb (اكاد) belongs to a special group of words known as kāda and her sisters (كاد واخواتها).
