Verse (19:4), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (19:4) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is first person singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (اكنۢ) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
