Verse (19:17), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar


The eighth word of verse (19:17) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and verb. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The form V perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is mīm thā lām (م ث ل).

Sahih International: And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
