Verse (18:40), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (18:40) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A verb and object pronoun. The form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine singular and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is hamza tā yā (أ ت ي). The of the first person singular object pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
