Verse (17:86), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar

The third word of verse (17:86) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An emphatic prefix, verb and emphatic suffix. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is first person plural and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is dhāl hā bā (ذ ه ب). The suffixed emphatic particle is known as the nūn of emphasis (نون التوكيد).

Sahih International: And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us.
