Verse (17:6), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (17:6) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is jīm ʿayn lām (ج ع ل). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is second person masculine plural.
